I'm an International Student and I need to obtain Curricular Practical Training (CPT), what should I do?
You should first speak with your ISSS Advisor to determine whether the Toppel Internship Program is the right option for you. If yes, you'll need to attend a TIP Orientation session and work with the Assistant Director for Internships to obtain your CPT letter. This process can take 3-5 for Toppel to generate the letter and enroll you in the program, and it can take ISSS 3-5 days to process the work authorization. Do not wait until the last moment!
I need 120 credits to graduate, and have 119 left, will the Toppel Internship Program and UMI course satisfy that last credit?
No, it won't. The Toppel Internship Program offers a 1 credit transcript notation. The UMI course, while having some requirements outside your actual internship does not count toward your GPA or toward graduation credits
I submitted a learning contract but I'm no longer going to be interning at that company, or I found a new company to work at, what should I do?
Email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know that you are no longer working at the original internship. We will make note of that, however we may not delete that learning contract right away. If you are working at a new company, let us know via email and submit a new learning contract with the new information.
I participated in the Toppel Internship Program previously and I have an Incomplete/No Grade on my transcript. What should I do?
